I am looking for a new dentist. Can I come to your practice?
Of course, we look forward to welcoming you to our practice as a new patient.
Please make an appointment today and allow about 1 hour for your first visit so that we can get to know you and you can get to know us.
When do I get a bonus booklet and what does it do for me?
The bonus booklet is a record booklet (the size of an ID card) for regular visits to the dentist as part of statutory health insurance dental care for patients who have reached the age of 18.
The dentist confirms with his signature that the patient with statutory health insurance will visit the practice at least once a year for a check-up.
If you need dentures in the form of crowns, bridges, prostheses, etc. despite regular dental check-ups and early detection of dental diseases, you will receive an extra subsidy from your health insurance company depending on the completeness of the bonus booklet: a period of 5 years results in a bonus of 10%, a period of 10 years of complete documentation of the annual check-up results in a bonus of 15%. The stamp for the current year does not count towards the bonus calculation.
If you do not yet have a bonus booklet, please ask us at the practice. You are entitled to one and save money!

Where do I find the practice?
Our practice is located on the left bank of the Rhine in the south of Cologne in Rodenkirchen.

There are two car parks in the rear courtyard for patients of the practice. Further parking is available in the nearby side streets or in the Maternusplatz parking garage (access via the roundabout on Nibelungenweg).
What can I do if I have a severe toothache?
Toothache can have different causes:
It can occur after specific dental treatments such as filling therapies, root canal treatments, implantation, etc.
For quick relief, it is usually sufficient to protect the affected side of the mouth and take anti-inflammatory herbal remedies (camomile, arnica, propolis) or painkillers (ibuprofen).
However, these should not replace a check-up at the dentist, but merely make a visit to the dental emergency service avoidable.
The use of fluoride pastes often helps with teeth that are sensitive to cold.
Toothache in the upper jaw during severe colds is due to the swollen mucous membrane in the maxillary sinuses.
Pain that radiates into the ear can be caused by an inflamed tooth root and inflammation in the temporomandibular joint. Here, too, the dentist must make a diagnosis to determine the right treatment.
Toothache in babies and small children often has to do with newly erupting teeth. A brief visit to the dentist is always recommended here.
If there is any kind of swelling in the jaw or facial area, a visit to the dentist is essential and cannot be postponed!
When do I go to the emergency dental service?
Outside of our consultation hours, you can reach us by telephone on Mon, Tue and Thu from 8:00 – 18:00 and Wed and Fri from 8:00 – 13:00 on (0221) 39 23 75.
The emergency dental service for urgent toothache at night and at weekends can be reached on (01805) 98 67 00.
What do I do with loose temporary teeth, crowns or dental bridges?
If temporary dentures, crowns or bridges on your teeth become loose enough to be removed, you can try to achieve a temporary bond until your short-term dentist appointment: Apply toothpaste or bonding cream (for dentures) to the denture and carefully place it back on the tooth. Avoid chewing on the affected side.
What can I do if I have trigeminal neuralgia/severe facial pain?
In the case of trigeminal neuralgia, sudden shooting pains in the facial area often only occur on one side in the upper jaw, lower jaw, cheek and lip area and can be extremely severe. The attacks of pain are often caused by trigger stimuli (draught, touch) and last for a few seconds. The initial treatment is with medication belonging to the group of anticonvulsants or antiepileptics. Contact our practice as soon as possible and, if possible, avoid the trigger factors.
